Do you want us to love each other? This question is the starting point for this artistic duo and it gives rise to a beautiful encounter between tightrope walker Mathilde Roy and DJ Zerolex. In a succession of movements, the two bring to life this existential question and all the others that arise from it.
Inspired by Roland Barthes’ A Lover’s Discourse: Fragments, the two artists interpret different feelings on the stage. To chart the spectrum of emotions folded into the concept of love, they have surrounded themselves with three talented artists: the illusionist Yann Frisch, the dancer Louis Gillard, and the actress Sophie Borthwick.
Love is examined in minute detail. Playing with balance, Mathilde Roy performs movements that resonate with the music, offering spectators sublime images and choreography. The performance is a poetic tribute to the things that bind us together.
Paul Cretin-Sombardier and Mathilde Roy founded the Muchmuche Company in 2008. It serves as a vehicle for the two artists to develop projects structured around images and dance that blend their respective juggling and balancing skills. Combining disciplines, techniques, and inspirations, they create a fully expressive form of circus.
