Get ready to step back in time by taking a trip to the 1970s and its world of colorful bell-bottoms and floral dresses. Thanks to the TBTF collective, you’ll be treated to an epic variety show.
A director, an emcee, four musicians, and a group of circus artists-dancers teleport you to the hippy years. This isn’t a parody but rather an offbeat exploration of an era and a questioning of its conventions.
Set to a soundtrack of cover versions of hit songs, the artists perform demanding circus routines (acrobatics, lifts, juggling) that are interspersed with music and dance. They even create advertising interludes and improvise funny interviews.
These festive and eccentric elements serve as a reminder of the carefree spirit of the times.
TBTF (Too Busy To Funk) is a multi-disciplinary circus collective based in Bourg-Saint-Andéol in the Ardèche area that brings together almost two dozen artists. Their various creations give a central role to the circus arts while incorporating other forms of artistic expression. Although each project is unique, they are linked by a common creative effort and a desire to share.
