During this edition of the Biennale Internationale des Arts du Cirque, Archaos is offering a week-long program for schools and social services centers in Marseille. Pauline Barboux and Nicolas Longuechaud from the L’Envolée Cirque company will present their show Le vertige de l’envers [The vertigo of the reverse] in several parts of the city.
Le vertige de l’envers uses illusions and circus feats to provide a highly visual exploration of the different ways of perceiving the world around us. Audiences enter a universe where the laws of gravity and time can be reversed, expanded, or abolished altogether, disrupting the senses and emotions in a dreamlike, timeless experience. Liquids are transformed, weights are lightened until they take flight, bodies float, and balls escape their usual trajectories.
Tuesday, January 14 | Collège Henri Barnier | 10:30 am & 2:00 pm (school shows)
Wednesday, January 15 | Archaos, salle Bouinax | 3:00 pm (for social services centers)
Thursday, January 16 | École des Aygalades | 10:30 am & 2:00 pm (school shows)
These special events will be followed by workshops
