Professional Forum
Join us from January 21 to 25, 2025 for the Professional Forum to showcase the work of companies programmed at the Biennale and to develop new ideas and practices in the sector.
Diversity of form and approach is fundamental to the creative circus. It’s what gives it its strength and enables it to flourish. This week promises to be rich in discoveries, with 18 shows, including 8 new productions and 3 premieres to be seen across the Aix-Marseille metro area.
The program also includes presentations of new projects in partnership with Artcena, and a number of issues for discussion: revival of the repertoire, the circus in the former Yugoslavia, recruitment issues in the administration-production-distribution professions, sustainable distribution for shows under the big top, artistic and cultural education and the socially engaged circus, and the digital arts.
For this 6th edition of the BIAC – Biennale Internationale des Arts du Cirque, we are delighted to welcome the annual general assembly of the international Circostrada network.

How to register for the Professional Forum?
The Professional Forum is reserved for people working in the performing arts sector, and advanced registration is required. To accommodate a harmonious balance of programmers, artists, producers, presenters, journalists, and circus schools, registration is curated. Only two people per organization can register.
