A prominent figure on the Belgian dance scene, the choreographer and circus artist Alexander Vantournhout invites audiences to explore and deconstruct everyday gestures. Along with the dancer Emmi Väisänen, he skilfully dissects simple actions and transforms them into a thousand images.
The two artists transform a banal handshake into an elaborate composition involving arms, elbows, and shoulders, while a seemingly endless walk becomes a multitude of leg movements.
This is a choreographic explosion in a psychedelic atmosphere where the most subtle gestures are transformed into remarkable moments.
This performance is enhanced by a sound creation by Geoffrey Burton, the guitarist for Arno and Iggy Pop.
