Feu [Fire] is a performance by an acrobat and two musicians that is a mix between a race, a concert, and an athletic feat. Created for the Festival d’Avignon 2023, this multidisciplinary show imagines fire as a stimulus, an irresistible urge to move, and an explosion of vitality.
Dressed in boxing robes and surrounded by smoke and other fire effects, the saxophonist Morgane Carnet and the percussionist Xavier Tabard bring dozens of instruments to life. Meanwhile, an unknown emergency forces the acrobat Fanny Alvarez into frantic movement. She climbs, descends, and suspends herself in mid-air. The three of them play with everything and they play hard. They burn off all their energy before starting all over again. All three seem to be improvising. And yet…

Biography

Trained in Hungarian teeterboard, an intense circus performance where the performer’s relationship with the stage is inextricably linked to risk, the artist Fanny Alvarez has worked with a number of companies with diverse creative approaches (Association W – Jean-Baptiste André, Compagnie Non Nova – Phia Ménard).
