This exotic circus is full of picturesque anecdotes and circus equipment that takes the form of a palm tree. The performance tells the story of the tribulations of the actor Arnaud Saury and the circus artist Samuel Rodrigues.
In a scene centered around a Chinese pole topped with coconut palms, the two dream of Friday and Crusoe, without really knowing who these literary characters would be today. They pour their hearts out, surprising audiences with their aerial tricks and making them laugh with their comical situations, with one (the circus performer) serving as an armchair, or even a bed, for the other (the actor), who can continue his oration while being comfortably suspended.
This performance is an osmosis between theatre and circus. The result is a tale as poetic as it is spellbinding.
“Around a Chinese pole, a bewitching story is born that has such an appeal you let yourself begin to levitate.”
