There is an urgent need to slow down. To slow down in the face of the world’s frenzy, in the face of its madness. That’s the message the four acrobats give in their performance Citizen. Their minimalist circus is an invitation to embrace peace and serenity.

On the ground or in the air, with a hoop or a Cyr wheel, they offer us a looping visual score. A marvelous blend of digital technology and circus arts, their beautiful variations are superimposed, merging and blending, sliding one over the other on stage or on large screens. The result is a bewildering mix of the real and the unreal.

Through the diversity of their techniques and energies, the artists reflect the turmoil of our society. And they challenge the audience’s beliefs, but always with a touch of humor because it is never too late to slow down.
