It’s time for two fully loaded hikers to take a break at the Belle Étoile campsite. Trudging along with their bags, camping out amid the scenery, unpacking, managing the water bottle, polishing off the best plate… and, finally, a moment to relax.

Simple in theory, setting up their camp becomes the real mountain to climb… one person’s organization of the site does not always make the other person all that happy…

Biography

Since 2017, the Compagnie Entrechocs has been enthusiastically delving into the realm of over-the-top slapstick comedy and they often embellish their performances with unicycles, double bass music, and a range of objects that inspire absurdity, bungling, and slip-ups. With simple stories and innumerable little mishaps, the comedians embrace their feats, their blunders, and everything that connects them to themselves and to the audience. The comedy of accidents… Another one of those parallel worlds where anything goes! From the minuscule to the enormous, this art form, known as “comédie accidentogène” in French, uses the body’s expression of its clumsiness to inspire the reactions of characters in tricky situations. It’s a technique that requires both concentration and a willingness to let go in order to remain sincere and precise. It’s a risky form of situational comedy that allows all the ranges and nuances of clowning to be explored.
