Compagnie L’Immédiat - Camille Boitel & Sève Bernard
Circus
Thu. Feb. 5 and Fri. Feb. 6

Camille Boitel and Sève Bernard see their lives as a series of artistic accidents. In this untitled piece they offfer a surprising moment and make a vibrant declaration of love to the unpredictable. Composed of a series of catastrophes, levitations, and other balancing acts, this show radically breaks free from all the rules of performance. It opens with a grand finale, before oscillating between a slow pace and utter frenzy. What we see is fragile, constantly on the verge of disappearing. Each scene emerges unexpectedly. This fragmented creation takes on the aspect of a puzzle that the audience is invited to piece together. It is dizzying, like a vague memory of something about to happen.

Biography

The circus artist Camille Boitel and the dancer and circus artist Sève Bernard humorously describe L’Immédiat as “a very young 20-year-old company specialising in complicating its definition.” Exploring multiple forms, this company creates works combining circus, dance, theatre and, more recently, cinema and installations. .
