A performance exploring and fear and the wire

Tightrope walker Lucas Bergandi has balanced above the void hundreds of times. Yet it was only later in life that he experienced a feeling we all know: fear. Together with juggler Clément Dazin, he tackles this emotion that affects both acrobats and spectators alike. In A.N.G.S.T., the two circus performers punctuate their performances with interactions with the audience, weaving links between the artist’s vertigo and the invisible paralysis we experience in our daily lives. Their goal: to tame these anxieties in order to better overcome them. Gradually, as the piece progresses, fear ceases to be an enemy. It becomes a source of creation, dialogue, and transformation.

A.N.G.S.T. includes 20 seconds of strobe effects. Not recommended for people suffering from epilepsy.
