Ballroom – Post uit Hessdalen

Stijn Grupping, Ine Van Baelen
Aerial theatre
Several performances from Jan. 21 to 23
30 minutes Ages 5 and up Creation

Take a seat in a truck equipped with concrete decor. Juggler Stijn Grupping unveils an astonishing choreography where bouncing balls become accomplices in a precise and hypnotic game. With dexterity and a touch of magic, the virtuoso throws his balls one by one against the walls. They bounce back and forth and intertwine to form a ballet of moving lines that is sometimes fluid and rhythmic, sometimes dense and percussive. Set to music, the balls come to life. They seem to defy the laws of gravity. Before our eyes, the space is transformed, our bearings waver. And so we are swept away on a unique journey, between technical mastery and poetic illusion.
