Who hasn’t come across a cairn, one of those mounds of stones that points the way? Here, a cairn serves as a poetic guide on a liberating journey.

The acrobats Solenn Mounès and Pamela Pantoja make rock their creative partner. Pull-ups, suspensions, balances. Between the feats of the performers and the mineral presence, a counterweight mechanism is set in motion. And sounds are created and amplified on the spot.

The two bodies are suspended from a rope or by their hair while a changing number of stones seek to create a precarious balance in the air. Who’s holding what? Who is held by what or by whom?

The artists experiment with the relationship between the body and gravity. They explore the delicate space where pleasure and pain find balance to achieve flight.
