Combining music and the poetic handling of materials, this delicate performance is a true invitation to daydream. Surrounded by a space lined with kraft paper, young children witness a tender exchange between a circus artist and a double bass player. Between them, every gesture, every vibration becomes language. The breaths, the plucking of strings, and the rustling of paper compose a subtle dialogue made up of sounds and movements. Little by little, the materials come to life and give rise to poetic forms and images.

The Lunatic company is staging its show Dans les grandes lignes in three daycare centers in Marseille’s 15th and 16th arrondissements. In addition to the performances, the artists are inviting children, parents, and early childhood professionals to unique gatherings. These special events highlight their daily activities, strengthen family ties, and forge a direct connection between the artists and the audience.
For early childhood professionals: These special moments of awareness, reflection, and practical experience are organized prior to the show to forge valuable links between artists and early childhood specialists. The aim is to foster a shared approach and enrich our collective understanding of cultural and artistic awareness in young children.
For young children: During a special day, artists transform day-care centers into true spaces for artistic creation. Young children are invited to engage in sensory exploration, stimulating their awareness of music and circus arts by touching simple materials such as cotton, paper, fabric, and bark. The session will be a composition orchestrated by the artists in harmony with the energy and enthusiasm of the children.
For children and parents: Directly associated with the show, this workshop invites audiences to continue their immersion in the company’s universe. The artists guide parents and children in a space of discovery and sharing. They encourage rocking, singing, moving, and exploring through physical and voice games.
