In this fast-paced show loosely based on Romeo and Juliet, a love story becomes a competition.
On a stage transformed into an arena, two opposing gangs, one blue and one red, clash in a series of acts that are as poetic as they are perilous. Under the watchful eye of a merciless referee, the two star-crossed lovers seek each other out in athletic hand-to-hand combat. Swords have been replaced by circus equipment.
Whether trying to outdo each other with acts of juggling virtuoso or competing in flights and jumps, the two groups challenge each other as if in a battle.
From hand-to-hand balancing to Korean plank to diabolo, they perform one trick after another, like tireless athletes overcome by the desire to emerge victorious.
“A choreographed, acrobatic, and musical show that is, as always, hyper-modern and punchy.”
