Featuring a Chinese pole, Joana Nicioli’s first solo performance is at the crossroads of acrobatics, dance, and theatre.
The title Kahkos comes from the word “cacos”, which means “fragments” in Brazilian Portuguese. Fragments of life, moments of strength and weakness, the circus artist invites the audience to question the place of women today: their desires and obstacles, their relationship with the body, whether in intimacy or in society.
To the rhythm of an eclectic soundscape made up of effects and instrumental elements, songs and whispers, Joana Nicioli creates a performance under the big top that is as intimate as it is spectacular. She takes on the role of a multi-faceted woman, a being as powerful as she is fragile. A diverse being, a reflection of humanity.
Enjoy a great price when you combine Kahkos with two other shows at the Tent Village.

The Ruyna company’s primary aim is to explore social issues. Its name comes from the observation that the world is becoming “ruined” as conditions are increasingly harsh and nature is struggling to survive. The notion of ruin is an ambivalent concept that symbolizes both degradation and rebirth, a new way of creating.
