Upon a monumental structure featuring a six-meter-high spiral made up of three huge loops of steel wire, five acrobats soar through the air.

Suspended from this astonishing piece of equipment, the performers dart through space, sometimes vertically, sometimes horizontally, sometimes upside down. They touch each other, move alongside each other, and twirl to the rhythm of live music.

Playing with slowness and the void, the performance is somewhere between a balancing act and an aerial ballet. There is an astounding juxtaposition between the lightness exuded by movements and the strength required to perform them.

A powerful invitation to reflect and contemplate, La Spire is a call to escape the hustle and bustle of the world. And to escape, quite simply.

Biography

The art of suspension is at the heart of the work of the Rhizome company, which was founded by Chloé Moglia. The approach results in shows and performances that combine aesthetics and philosophy to create a form of reverie.
