For more than 20 years, the performer Carlos Muñoz has been devoting himself to visual and material forms of juggling inspired by photography. An unrivalled juggler, he presents a version of the art form that is rarely used in the circus and his creation Le récit des yeux [The story of the eyes], embarks audiences on a hypnotic journey.

“The soul has two eyes,” they say, “one looking at time, the second rising towards infinity.” This play tells the story of one man’s expedition to Nowhere, a futuristic journey.

In his quest, the performer is followed by circular objects representing eyes. These become living creatures that he manipulates to electronic rhythms. They move, distort, and confuse us with their optical illusions. The result is an atmosphere that evokes the world of science fiction.
