LOOking fOr
Compagnie Allégorie
Balance, contortion, singing
Exile, departure, and reinvention. The circus artists Katell Le Brenn and David Coll Povedano have envisioned LOOking fOr as a journey. Accompanied by the performer Chloé Cailleton, they examine the quest that drives us all: to find a place, our place, here or elsewhere.
To the accompaniment of jazz melodies, the three artists express themselves with objects and their bodies as they playfully move through their world. Amid three chairs of different sizes, David provides the support and the lifts, Chloé talks and sings, and Katell is the acrobat and contortionist. Their bodies are in perpetual motion, touching, climbing, and reversing roles.
Their joyful journey of discovery is for young and old audiences alike. It’s an ode to life and freedom.

Biography
Founded in 2006, the Compagnie Allégorie presents contemporary circus projects by artists Katell Le Brenn and David Coll Povedano. Guided by emotions and the creative spirit, they explore art forms that exist at the frontier between theatre and dance.
