Sébastien Davis-Vangelder and Frédéri Vernier aim to further explore the acrobatic principles of the submerged body. Trained in hand-to-hand balancing, lifts, and apnea, they join forces with artists Petra Steindl and Fynn Neb in this workshop production that brings the aquatic world to the stage.
In a giant aquarium, the four of them engage in performative exploration. Their pure, dazzling choreography, inspired by the water cycle, blends circus and dance in a new way. The weightless bodies pass each other in slow motion, forming a circle while synchronizing their breathing.
Poetic and engaging, Naïade is an invitation to observe the water that surrounds us. It’s a vibrant call to preserve this essential resource for life.
