Twirling, balancing, somersaulting. The eight performers from the Gravity & Other Myths company have mastered these maneuvers. And to accomplish these feats, it took weeks and months of effort, sweat, and endless rehearsals.
Ten Thousand Hours is an ode to the countless hours of practice it takes to be able to perform these acrobatics.
Seated close to the performers, audiences discover their audacious feats and high-flying stunts as they unfold to the rhythm of live percussion. It’s a breathtaking moment that celebrates physical prowess and self-transcendence, as well as the collective spirit and the power of friendship.

The Australian company Gravity & Other Myths (GOM) likes to stretch the boundaries of what’s possible. Formed in Adelaide in 2009, GOM has six creations in its repertoire, two of which have already been presented in France: A Simple Space and Backbone. These are grandiose contemporary circus shows that combine theatrical performance and acrobatic virtuosity.
