The performer Mélusine Lavinet-Drouet explores the universe of aerial aerobatics. The composer Marielle Chatain crafts meditative electro creations. With their show Rouge merveille [Red wonder], they offer audiences a poem written with music and circus. A moment where time seems to stand still, a moment made of dreams and weightlessness.
It begins with a giant clockwork mechanism. Mélusine uses a cog wheel linked to a pinion to hoist a structure that measures several meters in height. Once the pole is vertical, she begins to survey it with her bare hands.
To the accompaniment of live music, the acrobat climbs and defies gravity. She plays in the void with astonishing grace. Her balancing act is both spectacular and poetic. It takes the breath away.

The art of suspension is at the heart of the work of the Rhizome company, which was founded by Chloé Moglia. The approach results in shows that combine aesthetics and philosophy to create a form of reverie.
